Dimensions of Space

Live Class with Dr. Heike Bielek

There are many theories out there that describe how the world is multidimensional, having 10 to 26th dimensions (string theory). But what if we return from convoluted theoretical mathematics to simple geometry that we can perceive in everyday life? Indeed the foundations of geometric space was described by Euclid of Greece in his book ‘the Elements’, which is still the most prevalent type of geometry today. In this course, we base the concepts of dimensional space on his foundations interpreted in a new way to explain 0D to 5D and how these different geometries play out in life.
What you will learn:
  • 0D, 1D & 2D – The dot, the line and plane
  • 3D – Regular Polyhedra
  • 4D & 5D – Time-Spaces & higher Dimensions
What you will draw:
  • Seed of Life – Cube
  • Flower of Life – Hypercube
  • Moon Flower – 5D Cube
What you need:
  • Drawing compass
  • Ruler
  • Pencil
  • Paper (A4 or A3)
  • Coloured pens or pencils
